(March 14, 2009) Heavy metal icons Anvil was inducted into the Indies Hall of Fame during the 9th Annual Independent Music Awards during Canadian Music Week at the Royal York hotel in Toronto. 2009 would prove a great year as a documentary about the band garners awards buzz and Anvil earns opening slots on tours with bands like AC/DC expose the group to a much wider fan base.
