THE PHOTO’S STORY:
The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin opened the Toronto Jazz Festival on June 24th, 2011. In a packed tent at David Pecut Square Ms. Franklin gave a show for the ages. There were about 1,200 people in the tent that got to experience the once-in-a-lifetime free show (and about 20,000 people standing outside). I was fortunate to get very close for some good shots – a few of which I’m proud to offer for sale.
